Compressor housing A/R selection. Help me out please.
Ok so Im looking to pick up a Super 60 for my D16. Ill be running 15-20psi and I use this car for everything from street, strip, auto-x.
Ive decided to go with the .48A/R turbine housing but I have the choice between a .42A/R and .60A/R compressor housing.
Which should I go with and what effect will this have?

the bigger the compressor a/r the more efficent the compressor is.. get the biggest one you can

yes they do change...the efficiency island should move up into a higher area...it will be a little less efficient at lower power, but better at higher....i hope i said that right

Ok that makes sense but nowhere on the compressor map do I see it specifying the compressor A/R? So how do I know?
Would a super 60 map generall be for the larger or smaller housing?

Ok so it says smaller A/R for high boost. Would 17-20psi be considered high boost?
In which case I should go with the smaller housing? Intuitively this doesnt make sense to me.

I'm wondering the same thing. I have a Super 60 with the .42 a/r comp housing and was wondering if upgrading to the .60 a/r housing was worth it.

A/R has nothing to do with how big the housing is physically. It's just a ratio of the radius of the scroll and how far away from the center it is.
