Default Safe to run without the Greddy Blue Box

I have a greddy turbo kit ready to install. Do I need to install the blue box if I have a MSD retard system and a VAFC? If I do need it even with the 2 items I have, what does it exactly do?

blue box is a Fuel management unit. IT dumps a lot of fuel into your stock injectors so you don't detonate or blow up the engine when it hits boost.

You can throw away the blue box and run the VAFC Hack with bigger injectors (this is what i'm doing) Just search VAFC hack you'll finds tons of info

hey mogz: you don't need the FMU or the Blue Box if you're using the VAFC. All three methods are ways to get more fuel when you need it under boost, so they're redundant.

you need something to hide the map sensor if you don't use the hack. even if you use the vafc with stock injectors and raise the fuel you'll get a cel b/c the vafc doesn't block the map sensor like the blue box does

there is no driveability problems, just wire it up and go. Compared to the afc hack, or rising rate regulator, tuning is required

how do you tune a rising rate regulator?

personally i would not run the hack. i would run the votech fmu and a missing link on the map sensor for now. and retard your timing with the btm.

i am uncomfortable with the way the blue box dumps fuel. for some reason it seems like it dumps way too much. and for this reason with stock timing people are losing compression....i dunno thats just me.
