Default Safe HP Range

Im building a GT35 LS VTEC
B16 head
ITR or CTR cams
Supertech valvetrain
GE gears
Edlebrock IM
AEM fuel rail
1000cc injectors
68mm TB

B18a Block
Darton MID sleeves
Not sure what piston/rod combo yet but it's gonna be 84mm 9.0:1
micropolished and knife edged crank
GT35r turbo ***only thing is the hot side was changed but i was told it was rated for the same power as a factory GT35r**

I still have to buy the rest of the turbo setup, clutch, ecu and software but it's just a generalization of the hardware i'll have. I want to know what kind of power i can make safely on 93 octane with this setup....I want to be WELL over 400 whp and some decent torque input is appreciated guys thanks

I tend to stick to accords, but I think it's time I start looking more into the b/d series. Anyways, I know that turbo will definitely be in its efficiency range above 400hp. So far it sounds like you have a build that will give you the numbers you want. I'm curious though...is an ITR cam really worth it on this build? Did you consider a turbo cam? I know bisimoto makes them for f-series. I'm just curious. I could be completely wrong so please inform me.

I was just going with the ITR cams because it's a little cheaper than aftermarket (well at least for me) and it'll provide me the extended RPM range for the turbo that i have but i might as well look into aftermarket cams i guess lol

itr cams and ctr cams are really goo for boost.. if you have the suporting mods you could make over 600.. id say go for like 425 on pump..

Despite this thread being borderline bench dynoing, I'll still endulge you.

GT30 making 530whp with the .82AR housing on a 2.0L:

In the end its up to YOU to determine power levels. A quick glance at the turbo's ratings will give you rough estimates on a horsepower ceiling.

Thanks....that's very very similar to the setup i'll be running but the compresser housing on mine is a .70 A/R ...don't know how much of a difference it's gonna make

over 400whp is pretty achievable and safe with those mods and turbo with a good tuner
