but would a t3/t04e 57 trim .48a/r be good for a d16y8 setup

p.s. tried a search already

back to original thread:
around 200-220 to wheels at whatever boost, safely tuned is what i am aming for for my project. I think that will be safe enough for stock internals and if it blows
D engines are a dime a dozen.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I would recommend the T3/T4 50 trim or Precision SC50 with a .48 A/R. I am going to be using the SC50.

I hear alot about the precision turbos, i'm not much up to date about them especially for the d-series

Does the sc50 flow more cfm the a regular t3/t04 or is just the "bling bling" factor?

Which T3/T4 are you talking about? Precision uses a Garrett wheel and makes their own housings for better flow and spool up.

I ran 10 psi on a IHI RHB5 daily on stock internals with the hack and mildly conservative tuning. I also ran 10 psi for a little while on my SC50 till i totalled the car and never had any problems.

And to willyboy, there are TONS of different variations/sizes of the t3/t4. The SC50 is a 50 trim with a .48 or .63 exhaust housing. I would say it flows to a generic t3/t4 of the same size because the housings are ported and it flows better.

The bigger brother SC61 has garret GT technology and outlflows most generic t3/t4's of comparable size.

Hey ryan did you already buy your SC50? I totalled my d16-t and i had a 2 month old SC50 .48 exhaust side that i bought from art. I'm testing the waters on it cause it doesn't look like i'll be able to put it on my SER after all. PM me if you're interseted.
