Default is it safe?

Just picked up a 95 ls at 195k and want to go boost. Woundering if its safe to Turbo cause its kinda high miles. If so what should I run? Anything would help.

Compression test and do a leak down if everything passes then go ahead

Also check for oil consumption by looking at the valves if you pull the head or at least the exhaust ports. Oil in the combustion chamber = detonation = good bye.

X2 on compression and leakdown test. Then make sure you fix all problems before you turbo it, such as oil leaks, cels, wiring issues, etc.
