Default safc and missing link quick question !!!!

when running my Apexi SAFC, do i want the afc to read boost or not? im running an LS with custom turbo setup. to my understanding, honda MAP sensors are good up to 11psi. But a good friend of mine that i know is very knowledgeable with cars told me that once the computer reads boost it will throw the MAP sensor code and will run shitty and that i should run a missing link so that the ecu wont read boost. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FURTHER EXPAND ME ON THIS!!!! ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

if your running a missing link then the afc should not register any boost.. it should go up to +/- 0. It should not go to + anything. If it does your missing link is junk...hope this helps.

no not all the time, when your boosting thats what you want it to say. When your idling if it says that then you got problems bro....

this guy is wrong.....the only way you wont get a cel with an afc is if your trimming the fuel like -36%. You didnt say you were running 440's or anything so im assuming your running the stock injectors. If you are running 440's or similar then you dont need a missing link. If you run any boost to the stock map sensor and the afc is not trimmed then you will throw a code.

well wont the map sensor read boost regardless if the afc is trimmed or not?

it will read boost but the computer wont see it because the afc cuts the signal voltage by -36% or whatever the setting is.... its just enough to keep it from throwing a code. jsut do a search on afc hack and youll find tons of info...

Quick question when you say afc are you reffering to a v-afc or an s-afc?
