Default saab .42/.48 to small for stock block gsr

only looking for a funner street car. Probably will never see the track. I basically have a drag kit, minus the turbo. There is one locally for cheap. Wondering if I should go ahead and buy it or what up and save for a t3/t4e. Thanks

Definatly to small for a GSR. your going to choke the **** out of that motor anything over 6k rpm.

If money is the problem get a ebay t3/t4 .63 a/r turbo. There abotu 160 bucks shipped and work very well. Just be sure to use an oil restrictor or the seals blow out easy. Ive been running mine for 6000 hard miles and its still mint condition. i know ill be flammed for posting this but i could care less. I know many people and my self that run these cheap china turbos and guess what they make plenty of power and last as long as you use the correctly 160 bucks FTW

Its either that or buy a used turbo off here and have no idea what ur getting yoru self into. Blown seals, bad wheels etc...

thanks for the input. I will pass on the saab turbo, i was figuring it would be too small. I will look at the ebay turbos, but i have tons of bad things, and a few good. It is hard to decipher what is just hersay and and what is actual fact from people who have used them. I have a garrett 50 trim t3/t4,but the shaft play is pretty bad and hits the sides of the housing. Locally i was quoted 450 for the rebuild, but i can get them new for 575. Basically just weighing my options.
