Default s200 and crome

okay my buddy has s200 in his car. From what I understand that I can get datalogging software for free, so I can use that. But I don't want to pay for hondata software, plus I tuned with crome and I got the ostrich. So my question is can I use s200 unit for datalogging and use crome and ostrich for tunning?

Or should I just take out the s200 unit and use crome with ostrich and datalogger?
I just hate freelog because it's highly unstable.

You can't edit a hondata rom unless you have a romeditor license.

Your only solution would be to purchase the romeditor license or un-install the hondata unit & run crome on the vehicle.

can't I just pull out the chip and run ostrich in there? I opened the ecu, it's all chipped the way any other ecu is. Chip, socket, jumper, other socket and chip and 4 pin header for datalogging.

Yes you can. You will need to disconnect the hondata unit from the 4 pin header to use crome.

Not unless you buy the hondata romeditor v3 license and you have datalogging enabled on the unit.

Neptune RTP does not require purchasing of the software. .. You simply pay for the system. Same applies for hondata s300.
