Default S2 Mani on stock gsr-t..choke my numbers?

i will be reving to 8400. i currently have a S2 mani that ive been running all motor for awhile. Alot of people say the vic x is more for the 7000-9000 power range. on a stock motor i wont be revving to the stars so the vic x seems like overkill. Would it be wise choice to keep the s2 till i can rev to 8400+ than upgrade? i would like to put down some respectable numbers... will the S2 choke my power even though i am on a stock low revving motor? I dont plan on building my motor for another year so no "just buy the vic x and get it over with", if buy the vic x its to improve stock numbers.

My question is: what intake manifold is best for a stock gsr turbo?

thanks for the input!!
peace!!

you are fine with the skunk2 mani. i think the victor x would be overkill on a stock motor and a waste of time/money since you already have the skunk2 mani installed. hell even a stock IM would be fine for a typical 300whp stock block build.

For sure the skunk2 is fine. It's probably your best option. You will get a better power with it over the X all the way up to 7000rpm or so. The s2 gives a better power band for the street. Hell I made 490whp on my oem GSR IM, cams and TB.

Thanks thats what i figured and hoped the S2 would work in my favor of more mid range since i cant rev all crazy. My buddy has a bone stock gsr running the vic x (he has a built motor goin in though), would the vic x cause lag on a stock motor?

on my stock gsr i use the victor x , car put out 430hp 300tq on a precision t4 6765hp @ 15psi , my t3 t67 made 398hp 268tq with 18psi

our other car made 330 on the skunk 2 with a precision 6262 on a stock lsv at 10psi

i wouldnt call it lag, but as E85 said the mid-range torque curve is going to be better, meaning the car will make higher torque at an earlier rpm with the skunk2. how much difference can only really be determined on the dyno.
