s-afc vs v-afc
I'm in the process of having my turbo ls built and the shop owner I should get a vafc (don't use the vtec) because you can tune it better than the s-afc or it has more options something like that is this true?

NO.
there is nothing true about that. I can only think of 2 reason why he would say that.
1. he/communication got confused and he was talking about the difference between the acf vs. afc II
2. he wants to make more money off you/ he is lazy and doesnt want to order a safc

i boosted my old setup to 17 pounds with the s-afc. i could not get it to run right with the v-afc.
