Default safc vs. vafc

i know its been covered, and i did some searching on the matter...basically, i want to tune my car because i believe its running really rich with the turbo installed...
however, i do know its better to run rich than lean...but id rather be running in the middle...

so...can you use a safc on a vtec motor...whats the difference between the safc and vafc other than the vtec...

see currently i have a 94 ls turbo...but this winter im changing to a vtec and rebuilding the block to go ls/vtec...so, would i be better off with the safc or a vafc

Default Re: safc vs. vafc (NoPowerAllRice)

well it would be better to run alittle rich than lean at all. Yes you can run the safc on a vtec motor, I use it. The only difference between the vafc and safc to my knowledge is being able to lower or raise the vtec engagment on the vafc. I'm just sticking with the safc, but if you can get more power out of your car by playing with the vtec, switch to a vafc.
