running in turbo b18c on stock ecu and injectors ok?
hi guys
ive almost finished building my turbo b18c ready to drop into my dc2 jdm type r. will be running AFI street series kit. low compression wiseco pistons.
my plan is to run the engine in on the stock ecu and injectors, then once its run in i will install the hondata s300 and injectors/fuel pump..
thats the plan anyways, just want to double check this will be ok? obviously wont be pushing boost through it when running it in, just a few psi id imagine..
your thoughts please guys
dan

run in? what does that mean ? you will drive to a tuner with the stock stuff, upon your arrival install your s300/injectors and have it tuned ? you should install the pump long before you make it to the tuner.
if you think you need to "run in" a fresh built motor or a new turbo, then forget what you thought you knew. you dont need to break anything in, just make sure its tuned, and have at it. we have been using this method for like 10 years and never had an issue.

when i say ' run in ' i mean break the engine in, or however you guys say it (im from the u.k)
i always use the more traditional method of running an engine in... however i appreciate there are folks that like to use the 'hard' method. but i stick to what i know as ive never had any problems this way
