Running super rich
my setup:
B18C
Greddy TDo5 turbo kit
vortech FMU 12:1 i think
RC 310 injectors
Walboro 225 LPM pump
8psi boost
running super rich at idle, like 45-50psi fuel pressure, would an adjustable fuel pressure regulator help lean it out or should i do away with the Vortech and try the "Blue box"
Otherwise the car pulls like a runaway train...downhill...pushed by a jet...
one more thing, Is a high flow fuel rail really necessary?

i would suggest getting a vafc or safc. The fmu will work better when you go to higher boost, so i wouldn't recommend switching back to the blue box.

then i guess the cheapest solutiong would be to go back with the blue box untill you can do a afc or get a smaller disk for the fmu. I think a smaller disk will reduce the amount of fuel. If i'm wrong somebody please let him know.
Lower ratio FMU will only affect fuel delivery under boost. If you want cheap get a B&M Commandflo or similar. Endyn had a write up on how to modify the stock FPR with one of these to allow even lower pressure adjustments.

Hey TurboE. I have a B&M already mounted on a Type R regulator. I used it on my GSR for experimental purposes. The only difference between the R one and GSR is the spring inside which sets base pressure. I was able to lower my pressure from 48psi (stock GSR regulator) to 40psi using this regulator. I am also using a Walbro 255. I am selling it for $75 Canadian shipped, let me know if you are interested.
And to answer your other question. No a high flow rail isn't neccesary.

I was able to lower mine from 48 to 40 psi using the B&M and I have the Walbro pump. It kind of surprised me too especially since the regulator I used had a Type R spring which is slightly higher pressure. B&M's do suck though, can't argue with that.
Turbo E- I hear ya. I don't like ordering stuff over the internet either. Local pick up ownz.

put on the b&M today lowered the fuel pressure to 43 psi took out that POS bluebox. Car runs way faster
Idle is still kinda funny but its not black smoke anymore.
wants to stall, vaccuum drops, then engine revs itself up and then stable for a few minutes, then repeats. before i pick up a Hondata 2B, is there anyting i can do to smooth it out?

but i never buy stuff by mail, sorry. I read through the "I was ripped off "stories, and I'm even more paranoid now.
