Default Running Lean on Turbo

Guys, I installed my turbo a few weeks ago and my fuel ratio is still lean...well before I installed the turbo i ran lean anyway. i would only read stoich when i accelerated...i cleaned the injectors...i use either 93 or 94 octane and still read lean. The problem is...i can't seem to get a stoich reading at idle...when i drive or there is load on the engine i get a mixture of lean and stoich but never just stoich...and when i do get that mixture of lan and stoich the gauge is fully reading lean and just has 3 bars on stoich....what could this be...how can I fix it...will this affect my turbo...i mean i boost fine but I don't want to blow my motor up...help

Retard your timing.

Maybe your a/f gauge is hooked up wrong or a bad power and/or ground. Don't use the stereo wires to hook it up because it will give bad readings. When I did I get a wide reading (more LED's lit up at a time). When I hooked it up with its own power and better ground, it gave a more narrower reading (less LED's and seem to be more steady) and it finally read into the rich area at WOT, too.

I used gauge wires and I adavanced my timing from 16 degrees to 18. I guess I have to buy some injectors to see what happens next...the gauge is connected fine...the groud is independent and the positive it right on a fuse...i'll keep you guys updated...thanks...let me know of any other ideas...

well i dont think you should have advanced your timing, and are you using an autometer a/f gauge? you should really get an EGT gauge. also upgrade the injectors. are you using an FMU??

First thing you should do use throw that useless light show out. Get a hondata, and take it to a dyno with a wideband O2.

wideband is not just for turbo, its for all tuning apps. it is like your stock O2 sensor except it reads a wider range of voltage hence wideband...more precise reading and allows for better tuning.

Hello? Youre running lean, advanced timing is the last thing you should do!

stock everything...but this has been happening before the turbo setup...and fmu is blue box
When upgrading your car to a turbo setup you should be going bigger injectors anyways. Try bigger injectors, and doesnt the Apexi V-AFC allow you to manually lean or richen the mixture? THey are like what, 300 bones? That might also be something to consider.
