rpm max for b16a3 w/ boost.
chipped ecu with boost,i have a setting on my crane ignition,whats a good place to set it so i dont over rev,i was thinking in the 8700 range.is that too high?i take it to 8300 regularly with no problems yet.

true,but dyno is going to be a few weeks away,im not really concerned with what the power will be,i just want to make sure i dont go to high,whats a safe rule of thumb with a stock internal b16a3

I would not take it past 8500 unless you have a fortified head. my revlimiter is set at 9000 but I only use it when I have to

my b16a3 (completely stock) + hack'd ecu
w/o rpm limiter.
My powerband goes all the way to 8.7k too,
But i don't feel shiet.
I would try switching at around 8 flat.
I tried high rpm racing, it really doesn't work on the street,
The reason why i got the b16a3 is because of the autocross
strengths it has in high rpm.
b18 is > b16
BUT! we have a lot more rpm, use it well.
