What's up guys, I'm planning my first turbo set up. I need some help. My horsepower goal its around 550 to 600. I would be sending my block out to get sleeved in a week or two. The only thing I have done so far its put full supertech valve train on my b16 head, stock cams.
I need to know what bore to run? What pistons? compresion? what rods to use? What turbo? Which exhaust and intake manifold to run? BOV? WG? Intercooler? (To fit my ek), oh by the way which company its the best to sleeve blocks??? I was thinking of getting the GT35R, but I've been told I don't need a ballbearign turbo. So plz guys help me out. Thanks.

 

your best bet is to check out other peoples setups that are making the power levels you would like to achieve.

 

i understand that this guy wants help....but when they throw all that out at once...you're like "they have no clue what they are doing" but the may know....but they look so stupid askin all these questions ALL AT ONCE.....they prolly need to do a lil research before they just say "hondat tech build my car for me to your specs".....that kills me sometimes..lol anyways just wanted to point that out.......nobody wants to aswer that many questions......do some damn research first!! BTW not trying to be rude but dang..jsut explode and ask a million questions at once isnt gonna get anyhting done.....

 

I just need help man that's it, I might look stupid for asking all those questions but ill look more stupid if I start buyin **** that's not good for my set up, so if you don't wanna answer don't worry other people might.

 

alright, sorry about all that earlier.....it's just gets aggravating making lists for people all day long , and most of the people don't have any money to actually go out and purchase ANY of this stuff..........yes a ball bearing turbo would be nice......give a little better spool up time, i think stock bore would do fine, run about a 9:1 compression since you are doing turbo, for the best wastegate and BOV go with tial. and sorry don't know any specific sleeving companies.......but i'd say on honda-tech somewhere there will be good info for the rest of your questions....turbo size, who sleeves blocks, specific intercooler for your car..it's all here somewhere.....hey for intercooler size, just find someone with your car that has a FMIC that looks good sized to you and ask for their dimensions, they'll prolly have some idea......

 

Thanks for the reply, I'm not like other people here that just talk but don't have any $$$ to back it up, trust me I got my cash but I just wanna buy all the right parts for my set up. Yeah I would keep on searching here on HT for the sizes on FMIC for eks. And for the compresion I wasn't sure if to do 9:1 or 10:1. I just need to know a little more about what kinda pistons are good and rods, thanks.

 

ight now ima going to jump in this thread and call it a night unless i see somthing good that i like, anywas um im sorry but i know where themorphious is sorta coming from. even though i try to keep it to a limit but i know that every honda guy here doesnt want to become a babysitter for us. if you said it to some tunner in person he would just give you a bad rep from there. so i guess you could get it away in here. k but to go along your quetionssssss um,,, so with this set up do you want it to be track only or like street to. and are you sure you want to go that far with your first turbo set up also. if you are then you got to do a lot of research around here for you self to just so you could know wat is going on in your motor. haha im sorry but when ever i look at your first post im just........haha it seems like you just honda-tech to do it for you like a rich spoiled brat asking their rich dad to buy them everything and doing everything for them. wwwwooooowwwww, im sorry i just went into my corner haha. well good luck and for the future limit your questions and do a lot more research first. it will save all of them time.
