I need help in choosing turbo for my next build b20vtec with info on set up and goals
OK bear with me I know this is quite a bit to read but its all nessary to achive the best answer. I do know quite a bit about this stuff but there so many to choose from I'm having a hard time choosing what will fit my needs best and is within my budget. I'm going to tell you about my build along with my purpose for the car my and hp goals. I have done quite a bit of research on multiple websites and books. I also have a mildly built sohc (d15b7 mini me)now in the car so II'm not new to the boosted honda life. It's held together for 3 years now and now I'm ready for more Power.
The block is a b20 it will be built with forged rods and 9.0 to 1 Wisco pistons. New everything oil pump gaskets ... ...
The head is a gsr with sk2 stage 1 tuner cams supported with rocket motorsports springs, k-series retainers, stainless steel flat face valve Installed with proper machine work. Held in place with arp head studs I also have sk2 intake manifold with 68 mm tb.
The trans I have decided on is b16 1-4th Ls 5th and final with lsd. Have all parts just have to assemble. A long with an Action clutch and stock flywheel.
The car 95 civic coupe ex with k sports coilovers 11k front 10k rear. It also has poly bushings threw out, a 26mm front sway bar and I'm going to get a 22 or 24 mm rear bar with supporting rear hardwear. I have already added the mini Cooper rotors with type r calipers to the front and rear disk brake conversions, along with a traction bar.
The purpose my build is to make ultimate street car in all aspects of it. The car will retain a/c & full interior but I want to be able to change tires and go to the autocross or road course with it. I'm looking to make at least 320hp but don't want more then 380hp. I would like to keep the boost level between 10 and 12 psi. I don't mine lag so much as long as power comes on smooth and pulls to the red line (8000rpm)like my current setup. Im willing to spend about 800 max on a name brand turbo knowing it will fit my needs perfectly.
If you want to know more about my current set up look up "Continuation of Test the limits of d15b7!!!" On d-series.org. It's all there. Or, If you have a good valid reason for me to change something in my setup let me know all input is welcome.
If you made it this far thanks for reading and hope you can help.

$800 rules out anything ball bearing which is really nice for response.

You'll be limited to a journal bearing Garrett GT28 or a Precision 4831B turbo with your budget or some of the old tech smaller T3/T4 versions.
Even Kinugawa TD05_16G/18G/20G based turbo's start from $899 - but they could also work in T25 or T3 flange format.
