Default Rods & pistons best value?

I'm looking at rods for my D16 turbo setup. I some stuff about pistons, but less so with rods. Which rod has the most bang for the buck?

With the pistons, I'm most interested in the SRPs, hopefully w/ a 9:1CR. I'm intending to run ~15psi or so peak, 10psi daily. Any input on pistons too?

Thanks guys!

importparts.com is having a deal on Eagle rods (i think it is still going on) which are excellent.. call them and ask for Ben. in fact he should be able to put together a package deal for you

as for pistons i would go with regular JE (not SRP) as i have heard that SRP's break easily

I dont work for SRP but use there product and hate it when people help destroy the rep of a great product by proliferating information they do not know to be true.
Where did you come up with "break easily" when pistons break anyway it is your fault, bad tuning wrong wall clearance rings, you guys seem to be looking for pistons that are idiot proof all the time. choose the right product for the application!
Now ofcourse I expect you to retract your statement.LOL

I wouldn't expect him to retract anything... he says he "HEARD SRP pistons break easily."

Given the wealth of misinformation available at our disposal around here, I am nearly positive that he did in fact hear that.

the SRP's should be fine with that amount of boost...but as with any motor..it needs to be tuned well...as far as rods go, I would go with Eagle rods...you could get Crower but they cost more and for your setup Eagles will do the job.
