Default Ring and Stainless valve question. . . . .

OK, are the Total Seal rings any good for F/I?

I've heard diffrent stories about stainless steal valves. I've heard that they tear-up your valve guides. Is that true? Because, I want to run them in my head. I'm planning on running between 15-18psi so, I need all the help I can get. . . . Thanks. . . . .

If you have stock bore, stick to stock.

And for the valves, I have seen the stock head and valves up to 19psi with no problems. I think if I ever changed the valves in the head to Stainless it would only be the exhaust side.

The ex valves in your head are stainless steel - you can try using steel valves instead they will melt.

Well, I'm planning on sleeving my block with Golden Eagle. So, will ITR rings be enough for 15-18psi?

Also, only use stainless valves on the exhaust side? What do you all think of REV Valves?

The any valves will hold up to how good your tuning is. I had a fouled, oily mixture from leaky valve guides; ended up burning 1 FERREA exhaust valve.
Just something else to think about...

any decent ring will hold up to boost of 50PSI no problem - but most rings will shatter if detonation ocurrs. yeah ITR rings should be fine, why are they any different from GSR or LS rings or do they just have te extra "R". as long as a ring gives you good oil control you are fine, I like file to fits or whatever JE puts in the box with my pistons. Total Seal are good rings, they are used wrong and thats why people have problems, they should be filed most times also.

I've got Sealed Power rings in mine... Came with my Endyne Pistons... File to fit rings that are working very well so far...
