Ring gap D16z6 wisecos
here are the ring gaps i came up with since my spec sheet had nothing on it.
75.5mm bore
top ring- 0.015"
2nd ring- 0.016"
0.015"
do i need to be more precise than that? And do those sound good let me know if i left out anything important

Can't really help you, but free bump since I plan on doing a Wiseco/Eagle Y8 buildup this summer hopefully
Do you think those specs would apply for a Y8 block as well?

Re: Ring gap D16z6 wisecos (ladysman)
hmm thats alot smaller than what i came up with of wiseco's site...im wondering if you should open or close the gap when going FI.
The specs should be the same if the bore is the same...the formula is [bore X (whatever the spec is they give you.)] in inches...
i found:
[Bore X 0.0050] Top Ring
[Bore X 0.0055] 2nd Ring
0.015 min oil ring gap
here is my resource http://www.wiseco.com/PDFs/Cat...s.pdf

I had no problem using wiseco's .0050/.0055 per inch on my z6 last year. Stock block ,eagle rods 22lbs t3 60trim. no smoke and good compression on all four. go by wiseco specs on all their pistons. good luck.

Higher cylinder temps = open the gap. Nitrous/Supercharged/Turbo always runs wider gaps then NA.
