Default Resleeve Project

Planning on buying a 94 integra LS w/ lots of miles (as a way of saving $ for my turbo project, drag 3 turbo kit @ 9-10psi max)

In order to resleeve it the block has to be pulled, but while its out...
what else should I do to the block, and how much do these parts cost?

resleeve block + copper o-ring $800-900
Je pistons + Crower rods $1100 (or you can get eagles, they are about half the price and just as durable)
crank rebalanced and polished - $ask machine shop
new main bearings and rod bearings -OEM honda - $80 for rods and i think $75-85 for main??
redeck block $20
new headgasket
ARP headstuds
also its a good idea to replace all the gaskets and oil seals.
thats all i can think of off the top of my head

IMO, you dont need to sleeve the block for a measly 9-10 psi of boost. I would say, take it to the machine shop, have them inspect the cylinder walls. If everything looks fine then have them hone it, reassemble with new rings, bearings. IF not, then bore it .20 over and buy some new pistons.
With the money you save, buy hondata or ems, some injectors, and gauges. You will be happy you did, and if you find a great tuner you should be able to run 15 psi on it with pump gas.
Then again, thats just me. If you have the money, then do the above with the GEM sleeves and whatnot. Basically you mentioned that your saving money--well, your not really saving money by completely building the bottom end.

B Series Sol,

Dude that's exactly what I plan on doing. I've got 2500 bucks saved up right now for the integra. It'll probably have about 120k+ on it. I'm saving up for block resleeving, pistons, rods, bearings, all that good stuff. I'm also considering what type of headwork needs to be done to an engine of that age? I suppose if it looks? good and isn't in total despair when I get it all will work out well. Like the guys mentioned a new water pump is gonna be a must. I'm sure those little bastards are expensive. I replaced one on my Jeep and about had a heart attack. Anyhow, I'm hoping to build the engine exactly like you're planning. We should collaborate on this effort man. I've got a friend that gets Honda parts very cheap, hopefully he can get the Acura parts also. My question is are you planning on buying a new transmission? I'd hate to spend all this money only to have a shitty transmission. I suppose just take it easy on it right? Goodluck and I'm sure I'll be seeing you around.

Noel
