Lets start off with the turbo. It's an AiResearch/Garrett T3 .42/.48 model number TA0301. The turbo has an internal wastegate. There are two reasons why I want to run an external. One, the internal wastegate port is cross welded shut (I guess the person I bought it from ran an external). Two, I want my A/C. ( I live in Florida). Heres the issue, I've been told I can run an external wastegate, however, I still cannnot keep my A/C because the internal wastegate on the turbo will take up room where the A/C is. So can I just cut it off or grind it off. etc.... so I can keep my A/C? Keep in mind it is welded shut and I'm running an external wastegate. Thanks.

i think you answered your own question. take the wastegate off if you want ur ac

 

Yeah I'm looking into doing that since the flapper is welded shut it has no purpose lol. I guess i'll just grind it off or cut it somehow..
