converting internal wastegate t external

my garrett gt28 has an internal wastegate can i remove the internal w.g. completely( actuator and valves). and just use that for open downpipe. My turbo manifold has a place for an external w.g.

you must weld the flapper on the hotside shut.

then run the vacuume from the turbo to the external w.g. vacume
