Remove copper o-ring ok???
I have here a sleeve gsr block with deck and o-ringed And I have always had problems with the coolant leaking past the copper. Everytime it start leaking I will have to pull the head and redo the copper. I do this Maybe a couple times a year and I'm tired of this. Can I run the block without copper o-ring being installed???
If it's leaking with the O ring installed, what do you think it's going to do without an O ring (which is what's supposed to stop it from leaking) installed? Hint: nothing good.
are you using the correct copper wire? are you installing it gap free? reason I'm concerned is because I just sent my block off to get oringed and I hope to not have any issues.
You won't, all of us are on o'ringed blocks and they run like they are supposed to run. Some of my buddies run 60psi of boost so I am sure you will be fine.

What kind of wire are you using?
If the right kind is used and installed properly it won't leak. Have you checked to make sure a sleee hasn't dropped? Is it always the same cylinder?

That's the right wire.
If you can see a gap where the ends meet then it means it won't seal properly. It might seem like it doesn't matter but it does. The ends have to be perfectly square to each other and meet without a gap.
It's taken even the experienced members here a fair number of tries to get it right.
