Qustions regarding turbo componentry for 400WHP.
First off just wanna say what's up to everyone here at the forum.
I have a couple questions regarding boosting a civic. I have searched already, here and on other forums, websites, etc...so dont flame me. I am a Nissan guy, and know the in's and out's of turbo's and components that work on the SR20, but i know very little about Honda turbo components. My boss has asked me to help him select the turbo componentry for his build up. He currently has a bolt on B16B which he will be selling to build a new block. Probably fully built dart. Money is not really an issue for him. He's looking for about 400WHP.
Here's my questions:
1.) Turbo.
- I know the 60-1's work well for Honda's, as they can wind out in the RPM.
-HKS GT3037 (sex machine), GT3040, or GT2835R.
-or possibly a straigt up T4.
2.)manifold
I am looking for idealy a ss equal length manifold that is A/C permitted. I picture a manifold like this placing the turbo in the air-box area.
It will have a custom IC set-up, air/water if we can fit the core under the hood somehwere while keeping the A/C, otherwise air/air.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Steve
