If you could rerout the BOV to blow under the car or back into the exhaust, it will be virtually silent.

Ricey means blow off back into the intake tract before the turbo, so it's muffled. (alomst?) All OPEM cars are like this.

i don't kno about puting it back to the exhaust but putting it under the car works great ive done this before for daily driving so the cops don't pull me over

but people will still hear the spool of the turbo

GReddy type R is not loud, plus it is threaded so you can route it anywhere.

i'm pretty sure its called bypass valve, instead of blow off

Well if its routed back in the intake like on DSM's they are virtually silent. Just adding onto what J Davis said.

They are essentially the same thing, only bypass valves are almost never fully seated in low vacuum situations. You can't have them "blowing off" into the atmosphere on a MAF equipped vehicle and have the vehicle run right.

I run the Bosch unit on my CRX, in a MAP aka speed density setup it works very well as a BOV.

bypass valve- Closed Loop
blow off valve-Open Atmosphere system

Although correct me if im wrong

Closed loop system is why the dsm is quiet.
