Default quick spool B18c1

Hi,
I have a friend building a street car..
What turbo would you recommend for a very quick spool B18c1 ?

CR is 9:1
pump gas (95 octane around here)
boost will be around 10 psi

Target HP is about 250 hp

I'm talking about 250 hp and full spool at 2500 rpm.

Won't happen. can't get both with the same turbo. Be more realistic and understand how these work specifically with Hondas more, and you'll see why this statement is unrealizable.

yes, that's the exact answer I want actually.

so you say there's no way a b18c1 can react like a Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Evo as a daily driver.

After these.. can we say a B18A1 is a better "quick spooler" for daily use ?

The sti and evo don't spool that quick either but there bigger displacement makes them feel better down low

Th Impreza is in fact turbo'd, not in America.

16g?

he's talking 250hp, that means about 215-220whp. that's one tiny turbo you'll need, a shame that will choke the top end to death.

i'd say you can but you'll need to do some R&D as few people try this...
you could try and talk to tony...

i'd say bump the cr quite a bit, at least more then 10cr to regain spooltime, should've done a oem parts build, cheaper and more effective and more then strong enough for 250hp!
