Quick question about the Lovefab SST.
Can I face a turbo either way on this manifold? For instance, compressor facing the driver's side or the passenger's side? Thanks
EDIT: Also, how much of a placement difference am I looking at when going from a log style manifold to the SST? Will it sit considerably lower? Trying to think about what i'm gonna do with my downpipe.
Thanks

Some turbos have flanges that are angled relative to the rest of the turbo (and the center section.) Switching the direction may cause the angle to make the turbo run into things like the radiator, and will definately necessitate the use of a custom downpipe.
On the other hand, it might still work. You'll really have to look in there to see.

Thanks guys. Anyone else? I'm about to buy one used, but the previous owner had the compressor on the driver's side. Mine was on the passenger's side with my old setup. I'm trying to keep as much of my downpipe/ic piping as I can ;]

you can face it both ways, diverside, pass side. i noticed witht the pass.side is that the comp. opening is facing right at the slave cylinder nipple, in fact it's about 2 in. away from it. your turbo will sit alot lower also.
Thanks for the help guys! For some reason it doesn't look like the turbo would sit too much lower than with my HKS log style manifold.
on civics you can have the comp housing on the drivers side as long as you dont have the ac fan/condensor in the car. with it that way i noticed the turbo sticks out toward the front bumper. the other way the turbo curls in toward the block.
