Quick Intercooler piping question (Install "problem")

Default Quick Intercooler piping question (Install "problem")

Okay, im running my intercooler piping and this bracket is in the way a bit. can i just chop it off?

thats your tow hook, but if you dont want it, instead of cutting you could just undo those 3 bolts in the pic and and take it off

hehehe, that's what I was thinking too. why cut it if you can simply unbolt it? Personally I'd see if I could maybe give it a bit of persuasion to clear the piping, so that God forbid, if my car ever broke, i still had a way to tow it.

i didnt know what the **** it was. its unbolted now. thanks. and you can get towed on 1 tow hook....just have to be a little creative and ballsy....hey if the car falls off the tow truck its his *** not mine.

I have both tow hooks on my car. I blew one of the big fuses under the hood, and had to get my car towed home.

When the tow driver was prepping to put my car on the flatbed he explained to me that "whoever put those pipes on your car took out your tow hook on that side". He used the tow hook on the other side, and part of my suspension to pull the car up on the flatbed.

I double checked when I got home, both tow hooks are still there... and they always have been. I knew I'd never taken them out.

In the event you'd ever want to have your car dynoed, how'd they strap the front of the car down?

FWD cars... dont' they tie down the back, and watch the puuurty wheels spin?

The shop that did my piping just bent them out to get enough room to get the piping by. So I can still have my tow hooks working if needed.
