"have a T-25 turbo from a '95 Talon TSI for sale. This turbo is in need of a rebuild due to some shaft play and worn seals. It was still working fine when I removed it to upgrade to a T-28 just get some white smoke at higher boost levels. This would work perfect for a core trade-in for a T28. I believe most places that do the trades will knock $150 off the selling price with a T-25 core.
I will sell this for $50 plus shipping. "

This is an article off of dsm.org. For $50 would this be a good T-25 to buy?

What would the white smoke mean?
Can the shaft play and worn seals be fixed with a rebuild kit?
Can the white smoke be fixed with a rebuild kit?
If it's blown can it be fixed? (doesn't seem like it is)
If there are fins missing can those be fixed?

There is a wastegate but no o2 housing.
