i have my setup almost complete and i noe uberdata is free but i cant afford the tuning just yet and wanted to know if i can run the fmu setup for a few months
thanks in advance

how can you "tune" a fmu?
I wouldn't run more than 7psi with the fmu just to be safe.

obviously was refering to the adjustable ones... and if its not, they have different size disc's that change the fuel pressure increase per psi of boost - if you can call that tuning - which is also why I used quotations

FMUs with adjustable rise rates, such as ones made by Car Tech, paired with a fuel controller like an Apexi AFC, can actually make for a decent setup for low boost. But it needs to be carefully set up with a wideband, like Muck said.
FMUs are fine, for basic setups running mild boosts I don't see why a FMU won't work. People ran them for years before Hondata or UD was even available and they worked great. Its obvious they aren't the best way to add fuel for boost, but you can't say they don't work.

agreed, I'm running UD myself... but UD is not for EVERYONE, you really have to understand what your are doing to actually use UD. A FMU is pretty much bolt on.
