Default Question For The D-series Precision Injector Users

Are you guys using the mistubishi style injectors? I keep hearing about fitment issues with the Precision injectors.

Planning on getting a set of injectors soon and just don't want to get the ones that don't fit.

Out of the box you may need to change some things around to get them to sit like OEM injectors. I think I remember having to remove a large o-ring to get them to fit.

Which ones for the D16z6? Sport compact style or mistu style Precisions?

About a year or two ago my buddy bought the sport compact style and they didn't fit into this manifold. And was told that he should've gotten the mistu style because they would just drop in like DSM 450's.

I just wanted to know if I needed the sport compact style or the mistu style injectors.

With any of the "aftermarket" or non-oem injectors, the fitment will be different from the factory injector. It may take some playing and seal swapping, but as long as you can make them seal to the rail and to the manifold, then they should run decent.

That said, there are increased flow injectors available (up to 660cc), that are a direct fit for the OBD0 and OBD1 Honda injectors. They are built using the OEM injector bodies, and drop right in.

PM us if you want more info.

Craig
