Default Question on boosted h22

How much hp can you put on a jdmh22 motor with injectors, fuel rail, fuel management, intake mani, and the rest stock besides the turbo kit. I dont need to know what kind of numbers to expect, I need to know how much whp you can put down without having to sleeving or puting a block gaurd on. I'm assuming 400whp?

theres too many variables.. its all in a good solid tune.. matt from one fab did 4 something on the stock block (440 i think) a while ago... witha good conservative tune and REAL engine management the stock block could last a whlie on 400whp.. search and youll find a few setups, tylerH also has a nice one..

i dunno about that... dont quote me.. but with stock injectors and all that ****... its gona be hard to get any major hp out of it.. ive seen guys on here that get a good strong 300whp out of stock block with good tunning... but the h22's are so finakie with the high compression and **** its hard to push them.. but in my opinion and from what i have read on here.. 400 seems really high for a "bone stock" turbo h22... just my .02 good luck

Personally, I would never try 400whp on a stock h22 unless you're looking for a reason to blow it up to do a rebuild. I'm sure it's possible to get around that number, but I can't imagine it lasting more than a month or two regardless of the tune.

You might want to look into getting some mahle pistons to stick in there if you're wanting that much power and don't want to re-sleeve the block. They work with the stock frm sleeves and seem to withstand higher power levels pretty well.
