I was wondering if using leaded race gas is harmful to my car. I dont have a cat, so thats not a problem, just wondering about seals, injectors, sensors stuff like that. I know it will probably hurt the O2 sensor, but Im not too worried about that.

the reason I ask is I might not be able to get my unleaded race gas by the week-end, but I have acces to some leaded fuel that is like 114 octane.

leaded wil over time kill your 02 sensor, but i think it takes a while to do so and needs to be run alot to do so . i dont think it will hurt for track days

 

Speaking of race gas, whats seems to be the going price around the country?
Here (N East) the price is up to around $9 a Gal. for C16.

Well, I'm all motor so I don't need c16 or c14 but I run leaded 100 octane in my car 24/7 and I pay 2.20/gallon at the pump. It's only an extra 2.00 to fill my tank with 100 octane then 93 with these ridiculous gas prices.

 

$8.50 gallon here for c16 I am in slo cal

 

7.60 a gallon in S. FL.

 

3.40\gallon for 108 Unleaded

DANG!!! Cheap.....it's 5 bucks a gallon here in WA for 105 octane BEFORE the price hike. Can't imagine what it's at now.

I say we go all out and go with 94 Sunoco, even that I saw the other day at
over $2 a gallon! If I was still in Hot Rod, Methanol would seem to be a much
less expensive way to go...

SO, sport FWD needs a stock gas tank, the Neon's holds 10 gallons. God a $90
fill up???

over here i found cam 2 for $5.40 a gallon , in DE they have sunoco 100 at the pumps for $1.99 a gall
