question about my new turbo
hey there, just got my precision sc34 and i was wondering about the inducer wheel. i was taking a close look at my turbo and saw that the inducer wheel had what almost looked like a chip in it. this is not close to the fins or anything, but i was wondering if this could make the wheel off balance at all? is this a common problem? its about a 2 cm dip and although not huge, i wanted to know if this was a significant problem for me to take up with the distributor i got it from. thanks.

more than likely the result of balancing the turbo... I think that's what you're talking about...? Removing material from the shaft can balance the assembly. you may see something similar on your turbine side shaft.
