Default Question about my InlinePro Manifold!

Ok so I picked up my InlinePro Manifold today. I also picked up my Tial Waste Gate and Tial BOV.

Now the manifold I got has a different looking WG Flange.

The one's I saw looked like this:

(T3 5 bolt)

The one I got looks like this:

(T3 4 bolt)

Notice how the WG Flanges look different. The top one looks like the flange on the Tial WG. The one I got (bottom), the flange looks like a ninja star.

Now my questions is... will the standard Tial WG work with the Manifold I got? Or did I pick up the wrong Manifold??

Yes it will work. Notice the other flange doesn't have holes. That was made for a 4 bolt turbo. The manifold on top is for a 5 bolt turbo. Which turbo do you have?

i think both will fit a 35/38mm gate. i think the one for the 4-bolt (bottom picture) has the star design in case you wanna drill and tap for a 40mm gate??? someone correct me if im wrong...

well does your turbine discharge have a 4 or 5 bolt downpipe. If you have the 4 bolt then you got the right manifold. The 38m will fit.

I purchased an SC61 turbo, and I believe the turbine discharge has the 5 bolt DP. (It's on its way right now)

Now the thing I don't get is... why won't my manifold work with a 5 bolt turbo? It's only the Downpipe Discharge flange that needs the 5 bolt right? The flange from the Turbo manifold to the Turbo matches up. So I don't get why there's a distinguishment between 4 bolt and 5 bolt Manifolds. I understand 4 bolt and 5 bolt Turbo's need 4 bolt or 5 bolt Discharge flanges from the Down Pipe...

Someone please clearify for me. Thanks.

The 4 bolt manifold with a 5 bolt turbo places the turbine in the block. I believe you will have to grind the **** out of it to fit it if its possible at all. I know a few people have done this in past threads, Im not sure the extent of the work involved.

Like we said before, you really should use a 4bolt turbine housing with this manifold. I saw some badass 4 bolt Garrett/Precisions in the Classifieds around the time I sold the manifold that totally tempted me to just get another turbo.

Now keep in mind I wrote that when the 4 bolt wasnt available. If you are running a 4 bolt turbine housing you must run the manifold made for that which is a cast iron piece. If you are running 5 bolt then you must run the cast iron or cast stainless steel manifold made to work with the 5-bolt.
