Default Question about geoff's intercooler

Does anyone know if it has some kind of baffle at the inlet to keep laminar flow?

one of my late-night ponderings......

yes i know, but what i'm asking is if there's a baffle on the inlet endtank (on the inside) to help the air go around that corner, or if it's just "normal" causing a lot of turbulence.

If you search(not saying SEARCH, but ya), around for the PWR efficiency improvement thread, youll see the reasoning behind using just an end tank. It has to do with creating turbulence to keep the air in the IC fins longer so that more heat is dissipated than w/a straight laminar flow.

You don't want laminar flow through an intercooler, you want turbulance!

well, i searched a little for "full race intercooler" but that didn't turn up too many threads, and it was late at night + 5 a.m. wake-up to be on board my E-4 (USAF 747) at 7:30 just meant i was too tired to do more. thank you for the enlightening replies Tony and Tinker!
