Default question about gear controlled boost.

i didn't know exactly what to call it but its pretty much what it means. i was reading somewhere that, i can't remember if its hondata or not, you can controll boost by what gear your in

for instance, from a dead stop you can be at 4psi in first, 9psi in second and full boost from third on out.

any insight on this guys?

thanks!

thats what i thought. My buddy and I are piecing his LS-V turbo setup right now. I want him to run s300 over any other ecu, best bang for the buck. but once he goes ls-v he'll need a new clutch and possibly possibly new injectors,

right now he has a stock ls teg running 10psi and making 223whp and i believe a little under 200wtq, and he has an exedy stage 2 clutch. dont know how long that'll last. i know clutches aren't rated by horsepower they are rated by torque, we'll just have to see.

this will do all that along with have an adustable ramp rate. it can run spring pressure, stage 1 is your ramp rate, and then a 2nd stage that goes straight to target pressure. works great.

You dont need a gear based boost controller for that much power. Two stage will work fine.
