Put the Kit on first and tune it properly make sure it's running right. With a stock motor, you can pull nice E.T's and MPH with the right tuning and right traction.
If you have the money for the build, then go for it. There are too many opinions to which products to buy, the right compression, different combinations and so on. I would give opinions on it, but I will leave it to the guys who has built motors that is running right.

Re: question about building a bottem end for turbo (FIxALPHA)
for ls motor really i would just build it with simple
What i would get is AEBS or GoldenEagle to do your block work with one of there good sleevs.
Second I would get either JE or RollerWave Wiseco with there respective rings. compression right around 10:1
thirdly i would get a good port and polish head with some retainer and valve sprigns. really good valve springs that can handle some decent rpms would be beneficial.
Lastly is a good fuel setup with a good standalone.
easy 350 hp turbocharged.

yes sleeving is definitely overload for 7-9 psi its not even worth the 600 bucks to get it done. I can run 12psi on stock ls block with ease. 7-9psi is what most stock hondas can take with out breaking many components thats also including bad tuning.

even with avg tuning 9psi is attainable. But remember all honda motors are not the same. Some motors make more pwr some motors make less. It all depends on your tuning too. but most hondas can withstand a good amount of boost in stock trim.

sleeves you dont need unless your gonna run over say 12-14psi.. and for about 900 you can have JG/Bensons or Darton sleeve your block. roughly...
Rods.. crower is good stuff... some people here have eagle rods( i have saenz rods)
pistons.. I run aries, some of us have SRP or full JE pistons (all good)
if you can stomache the wait.. send your block to Bensons or JG for a buildup...
they all have "packages" and pretty much have anything you want.
I had JG do the work, sleeved, aries pistons, saenz rods, sleeved, o-ring'd, balanced and blueprinted with new bearings, knife edged crank etc.. for 3,000.. but depenending on what you want you can get away with less..

Re: question about building a bottem end for turbo (GSRwBOOST)
i have been told larger intake valves are nec. for an ls to really make some decent power, what do you guys think. And what valve springs should i look into. i figured i would go stock(new) or is it more beneficial with something aftermarket.

Re: question about building a bottem end for turbo (DIRep972)
well i guess i didnt specify my plans.. for now im just gonna boost 8psi using stock fuel system and the FMU and pump from the revhard kit.. then next step is hondata w/ 440's, run up to 12psi with proper tuning.. then after that build the bottem end, maybe some head work and boost as much as possible.. and at that point make as much power as i can get to the ground.. ill probably get an LSD and new map sensor an stuff at that point... but right now i am just trying to get an idea of what i will be looking at to build the motor, i kinda want to do all the motor build up work for 3k... It wont be for a LONG time..

Re: question about building a bottem end for turbo (DIRep972)
since you plan on getting the 440's and the hondata at the same time, why dont you just get bigger injectors while your at it. bcuz if you plan on boosting as much as possible later on your gunna need bigger than 440. just get them bigger from the beginning and tune them down with the hondata
