putting together a cheap sohc, vitara piston questions

well, im getting my car painted, and when it comes back, the charge pipes go on. been doing the turbo-d thing for a while with stock motor, with 210whp (lean top end, tq slopes downward in vtec, more power with a nicer tune).
i figured my d15b needs some rest, so I have a d16a(eg sohc vtec, the vtec zc motor some people say doesnt exist) in the car. my aim is at 250whp, and i know this is pushing it on the stock tooth-pick rods. so, if my motor takes a **** on me, oh well, i will have to start over.
so, in preparation that problems may occur, i wanna buy some rods in advance. i've seen the vitara piston setups, and i was wondering...
do I just buy the pistons at a Suzuki dealer, and put the motor together? (do the pistons need any unusual prep work?)
what year/model pistons are the good ones?
would it be best to get the 76mm piston, and overbore the block?
would it be unwise to go 75mm, and possibly have too much piston-to-wall clearance?
im sure upgraded rods will be enough for 250whp, but a cheap upgraded piston may allow me to grab some more power safely.
please, if you do not approve of this setup, i dont want to hear it!

get them from FJT on here, he sells em pretty cheap. I would get the bigger ones and overbore because in a stock hole they slap a good amount. You'll have a decent budget build though, good luck.

You can get some Nippon SOHC "turbo" pistons (just like Vitaras) in 75.5mm bore with NPR rings (way better than OEM) for $170 shipped on eBay. That's what I'm getting.

I'm really curious how those stand up to abuse too, they look exactly like vitaras

What makes NPR rings better than OEM, I am in no way doubting you but would like to know why.
