Default SOHC BUILD tech help

TIA, Benson at garbage kwai sent my motor to the grave (he broke my oil pressure sensor(dunno if the blowing of the motor and OPS were related)) so now I have the option of rebuilding it or buying a new motor. Im leaning towards having Dave from the WhipFactory build it for me. I was thinking CP pistons, Eagle Rods, ARP head studs, Rod bolts, new bearings, and crank balance. My questions are should i
1. Spend 1500-1800 on a built bottom end?
2. IF yes, should I use the CP pistons? (I hear they are really good, but have also heard they are more for race cars, my car is a daily driver.)
3. Spend the money on another stock engine?

Rebuild! I don't know much about the CP pistons, I am using SRP's for my soon to be built motor.

If i were you i would look into the CP pistons Ryan. The reason I am considering them is that they dont make the damn piston slap like JE SRP pistons. The material they are made of doesnt expand as much as the JE SRP, meaning they should be easier on your block. They are also much lighter than the JE SRP pistons.

Hey as far as pistions go I would look into TRW forged pistions. My brother used them in a rebuild an he never had a problem with them at all. At the time they were cheaper than other manufactuers but just as good. he used nitrus on the set up and never had a problem. { quite a few of them today }

That design is more for a race car with over 400-500whp. Not my daily driver.
