Why would you change the wastegate and turbo?

You have a crappy ebay ramhorn. The wastegate placement likely sucks and won't allow the waste gate to do it's job without completely screwing up the flow to the point that the turbo stops making enough much less "too much" boost that triggered the wastegate to open in the first place.

get a cheap log manifold... buy the one in my for sale thread. It's a nice spoolin performance number... Even an ebay log would be better than a crap ebay ramhorn.

Ramhorns are really for track cars IMO. Miniram at most for a street car. logs build the boost much earlier but don't flow quite as well up high... big woop.. makes for a flatter wider torque curve which is worth it's weight in gold in a street car.

i just stepped back. said enough was enough

people have to be real about what it is they are doing. i stepped back not because i dislike racing, but because i'm now a home owner, have business expenses and can't blow all my cash like i did at age 21-26 at the track.

OP check all areas for leaks and then GO GET THE DAMN THING TUNED !!!!!!

If its pig rich it will fluctuate boost pressure because the exhaust gasses wont be expanding like there supposed to and can cause the boost pressure to jump up and down along with ignition timing not being tuned properly will A blow the motor and B cause the same problem

YET ANOTHER - I'm ruipping around in boost on a base map thred and cant figure out why its not right .
