Default Project boosted SOHC z6

So basicly i was talking to a tuner and he told me some stuff that i need and some things im not sure, but can you guys fill in the blanks tell me what i need and dont need heres a list of what i have/getting:

Stock D16z6
8.5:1 Vitara pistons 75.5mm
eagle HP beam rods
ACL bearings
arp head studs
3multi layer head gasket
Engine is getting a bore and hone
block gaurd
crankshaft balance
AEM wideband O2 sensor with gauge
(soon) DSM 440cc injectors
a Blox stage 2or 1 cam
Walbro 255
chipped p28 for a b16 red lines at 9200(bad) getting it remapped

I am not sure what engine managment i should get or even to get one, one guy at the engine shop said "what numbers do you wanna see 350? p28 chipped all you need, get an msd box coilwires and rotor"

Now i draw a blank obv i need a good street tune than a dyno tune but i dont know what else turbo kit soon to come when money comes

thats what the tune is for, to control all that fuel. and your going to need it with 18psi. Chime in on the d series turbo thread and check out some other peoples injector size. I had a gsr that I ran 16 psi on and had to have 1000cc injectors.

1000cc is good but i mean id rather spend like 100 on dsm 440 versus 450 on rc 1000cc injectors

what im saying is that the 440cc injector is not going to get you anywhere near 350hp. More like 220 before you run them out

Well you're not going to need 1,000's that's a little over kill for 375 MAX. I have 750's for my 400+whp build and also leave the MSD bullshit alone. Hondas ignitions are good for up to more or less 500hp like the other guy said, leave it for the mullet crowed or a fully out race car. You're DEF gonna run out of room in the mid 200's with those 450's you want some injectors that are going to be not only big enough but ones that you're not pushing the duty cycle on

I say you need to do some good ole research to be honest. We have all been there just read as much as you can there is plenty of info out there some good some bad. But to help you out a bit Find a different cam zex bisi etc 9200 rpm's n Vitaras is a fail JFK proved that and there is nothing wrong with 1000cc inj. You know that you will have plenty of room to grow when you want more power. So now you need to look at a turbo good luck.........

PS figure out a budget and write everything down that you need there is **** that your missing but that is always. Double and triple check everything

Well, the chip i have in my p28 is a rewritable chip so i dont think i really want it to 9200 max maybe 8000-8200. I was talking to my tuner yesterday he told me 450 is good base to make 300+ but like you said if i go bigger ill have more room to grow. also another thing he said was, get a new cap rotor and wires, he told me the msd ones are cheaper and worth it, can handle what i want, ill do more research on that, and one more thing, a p28 chip without any engine management, no hondata AEM or botech just the ecu is going to be stable for running that much power people are telling me very different things.

P.S t3/4 garrett turbo kit 1350$$

since when did vitaras come with custom dish? never. you wont see 8.5:1 w/o FJT's, more like 7.5:1 w/ standard rods. which is a good thing if all u want is top end

you are wasting your time balancing a balanced crank shaft.

block guards are for ***s

AEM widebands suck fat ****

you injectors are too small

Use a proven cam, like a Zex

your chipped P28 with OEM ignition will work fine.

I would recommend the Bisimoto Level 1.2 cam for this set-up. The 1.2 will help you achieve your goals and still be reliable on your way there. We also can do a custom grind for you if you are looking for specific gains in certain areas from your camshaft

You need a three bar map sensor and I would recommend going with s300 and a different tuner, he obviously isnt used to tuning hondas. 1000cc percisions is what u need on the injector front. Blox is a questionable brand, sounds like to me your not sure what u got and need to do a lil research. gl
