Default Profec A: OTB function

I was reading up on its operation and am a little confused as to what the OTB [Over Take Boost] is/does. It seems it allows a higher boost for a preset amount of time. The boost level generated is dependent upon the Set Boost level and the Ratio dial, correct?

Well, aside from this, WHY would you want to use the OTB function? What purpose does it really serve? It seems a tad tedious to reach down and put it in OTB mode just to 'over take' someone.

Could someone shed some light please. TIA.

Default Re: Profec A: OTB function (EE_Chris)

also known as "scramble"

Kind of like having a normal and a high setting. Its OK to run more boost for short periods of time, and this is what it allows.
