Default profec e-01 lost in outer space

Hello, I purchased a profec e-01 bootst controller and I need some help. the instructions are not much help when it comes to detail. I make adjustments such as the gain and it does not seem to change anything. I need to know what the % means when setting the boost level and its relation to the gain setting. Also, the instructions do not tell me where to set the wastegate set screw. should it be all the way down or all the way out? I have the deltagate II. I understand that all the way down is 7 psi, but I have yet to see 7 psi of boost. It seems the engine has to wind up to 5k rpm before the boost will even climb to 5 psi. I feel maybe its user error, Please help, I'm confused.

the scres on the wastegate does not have anything to do with boost pressure. if you have a 7 psi spring in there, then that the boost it will run without a controler. it sounds like you have a boost leak and that need to be fixed before the boost controller will help you.
