i have a prob with my jackson. i have it instaled but if i rev the motor to boost it cuts out. i think that i might have the wrong fmu. i didnt get every thing togethr and im puting this together with craigs list parts d series is what i have for motor. thanx
make sure your stock map sensor isnt seeing boost. this is in a crx so the map signal is coming from a vacuum hose to the intake right? well if it see's boost it may have a boost cut in the program in your ecu.
try running the map hose to the plate right behind the throttle body. there should be two nipples there, one goes to the supercharger bypass valve, and the other should be capped off, use that one to the map sensor
see if that works...it should work 100%

ok so the crx has a vac line off of the tb and dosnt see boost im thinking fuel problems do you know what the fmu fuel ratio is i have one but not shur if it is the right one for this app. i got the fmu from a friend and i dont know what the right ratio is also i dont see the fuel pressor rise it dips off when it gose to boost to around 30 psi. im also aware that it is lean and i have the air fuel screw out very far and cant get the car rich at idle the car runs good and if i slowly aply the gas it will clime in rpms but if i get it it falls on its face. some one told me that i need a missing link for the map sensor. but i dont think that i need that one because it dosnt see boost. i dont know its really getting old o and the other spot for vacume by the bypass valve has my cold start silinoid there. thank you for the help.
well if your chip isnt tuned now, then your not getting extra fuel anyway when you go in to boost.
did you get the fmu with the jackson kit? did you do the fuel pump aswell? I dont think you will have big issues. Do what I said with the map sensor. See if she goes into boost, do first and second gear. And then if your really concerned go to a dyno and get the air fuel double checked.
either way just make sure that the map sensor is not seeing boost, you can tee it together with your cold start solenoid. It just needs some sort of vacuum signal that will not see boost, so anywhere before the charger.
Fuel pressure will rise with that riser, if something is not letting it go into boost then every time it goes close to it, the pressure might drop erratically.
you dont need the missing link. the missing link is for cars that run the map sensor on the throttle body and that are turbo and you dont want the ecu to see boost.
make sure you have enough fuel....it might actually be leaning out hard when your getting into boost and causing it to shut down like that.
I have an actual Jackson Racing FMU from their kit. I have this riser because on my car I run crome and big injectors with the charger instead of an FMU. If you want my riser let me know.
I actually have two that came with my kit, if your interested in one I'll send you both, one rises more then the other I think.

If you installed it properly, the throttle body retains the stock MAP and is always upstream from the blower. So basically, it never sees boost.
If you get on it and you see problems, I'd suspect the TPS or your fuel pressure regulator.

ok the map sensor is up streem from the super charger and i verified this with boost guage so that cant be it.i also have an air/fuel guage and it wont come out of the lean side whan it sees boost. i tryed to ajust the air mix at the throttle body but that was a failed deal.i hava a fuel guage to at 9iddle it reads 40 psi but i dont see it clime whem i get in to boost. and some times at idle i can see it throb 40 to 50 like a heart beat.is it a bad fuel pump? i did my filter. i do not have the j/r fmu it is from vector and im not even shure of its ratio. what do you mean by riser? i also checked my tps and its fine to it was fine befor the super charger to. i was good and now im all f ed up. o thank you all for helping.
Riser is just another way of saying FMU.
I think your running lean, thats all. You need to either get big injectors and toss the riser and tune it....or get the proper riser.
The "air mix" screw at the throttle body is just an idle screw, it raises the idle on the car, does nothing for your air fuel.
Get the proper fueling in it and she'll run fine.....and please dont follow that air/fuel gauge, those things tell you nothing, they only read narrow band and dont do a good job at that even.
I still have two J/R FMU's if your interested

ok well i put the walbro fuel pump in the car and its still the same so i think that the fmu is the only thing that i can do. so let me know what u want for yours and ill do that. thank you
fmu's are definately unreliable. you should do as sovxietday said and get chipped and socketed ecu with a good basmap for your setup, along with a set of atleast dsm 450cc injectors.

well im not shure if this is what it is but im not spending more money and its running now. im going to weight till after the seattle honda tech meet then do crome and all the good stuff. for now i got it to go i know that i can get more with the right setup but as long as im not leaning out i have to draw the line for now. i put an ajustable fmu in the car that a friend had and now its ok i can get 10 of boost at 6500rpm so thank you all. i am starting to get parts for doing the ecu and crome now. so i think that 2 months and ill get it in. i miss my car. i need to drive it for a little. once agen thank you all.
