Default problem with new boost guage. help please.

its not hooked up yet, but when i got it the needle stays at like 2 psi even though no air is going too it. is this a fucked up gauge or will it level itself out when it gets hooked up. its a phantom mechanical gauge

It should be at zero with nothing connected. It probably won't "even out" when you connect it.

i might be mistaken - but isn't there a way to "calibrate" autometer boost gauges with a small screwdrive (like the kind for glasses)??

hook the gauge up and see what happens. When your under full throttle, the gauge should read 0, it should only take you like 10 minutes max to hook the gauge up.
