Icon2 probably a dumb question bwth.

I am running a 10.5:1 compression turbo charged a20 on a Holley commander stand alone with a ford turbo coupe distributer, RC 850 injectors.
For some reason or another the motor does not like to idle unless it is pig rich.
the AFR at idle reads 10:1(aem wide-band), while normally driving it reads between 13.5-14.5:1,and under boost 1-14 psi is a steady 12.5:1.
the motor only has about 350 miles on it.
there is a slight amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust. The smoke appears white,no blueish tint just white. The plugs read rich and the catch can smells like fuel, compression test reads around 160psi(cold) across the board, and the leak down reads 4% across the board.
Is there something i am missing or is it just the idle tune?
solid white = unburned atomized fuel ?right??

thanks for any help.

Wow 10:1 at idle better get that baby re-tuned and set the fuel trim.

You are in the same boat as me 3 weeks ago, weather changed in my case, car idled rich; steaming white smoke and plugs were black all round. Next day it's all fine but I got retuned. Somebody suggested it was hg but in no way that it smells like antifreeze but rather some pungent ****. That problem is history now...

thats whats is killing me, i can lean the idle section out by 1% and it will run for a few and gradually lean out and die.

What's your fuel pressure... might try lowering it.

The fuel pressure is at 42 psi whitch i close to stock pressure. I have lowered it to 36 psi but it didn't make much of a differance.

A little more info on air/fuel system:
I am running a edelbrock 70mm throttle body (5.0 mustang) with a ford idle air control valve, Skunk2 pro series intake manifold (b18 a/b), RC 850cc peak & hold injectors, GE fuel rail, Areomotive 1:1 fpr and a gm 3bar map sensor.

the resistor box is not needed for the holley commander 950 stand alone.
