Default pressure flex question

pressure flexing is when you rev a turbo and close the throttle and blow-off if you have one. how come some cars do it and some don't? i have a blow-off and i am boosting 8-10 psi and it works when i am only in gear, moving under load, and then close the throttle. if i just rev it high and close it, sounds like it's not even turbo??? i see that when i do that, the boost gauge will not go above 0. i know gst's can do this pressure flex and some other cars...i am just curious what makes this possible?

Default Re: pressure flex question (ho focker)

GSTs have such miniature turbos that they spool even when the motor is not under load. Our hondas use large T3/T4 hybrid turbos that do not spool unless the motor is under load.
