Default Gt35r question

Just a question. I recently put a full-race turbo kit on with a gt35r and I took it for a test drive and it's not tuned but I don't hear the turbo spoolin but I only rev it to 3,000 rpm bc it's not tuned yet. But when does it start to spool is my question?

You're not going to hear much at only 3,000rpms and being way outside of its efficiency range, as the turbo is barely building pressure and going past initial inertia. In addition, if you have one without the anti-surge compressor cover, it may be even quieter after you do get into positive pressure.

Get it tuned, turn up boost pressure, you'll hear it soon enough.

This , and this.

To give you a general idea, my old GT-35R started making pressure at WOT at roughly 3.5k RPM, and reached maximum pressure (full spool) at around 4.5 to 5k RPM. This was with an 84mm, stock stroke GSR with 9:1 compression & 98+ spec. ITR cams.
